My 5 year old and I loved the first and third books in this series. The writing is witty and we were excited to figure the mystery out.
This book is a bit repetitive and although the characters' personalities are more defined, one of the chicks is not as good natured or willing to help as we originally thought. It's supposed to be funny, but it comes off as obnoxious and irritating. After all, the purpose of the Chicken Squad is to help those in need, right?
Still, the writing is grammatically correct and flows well. That is an issue I have found in a lot of children's books and it is refreshing to read a well written series. Since we enjoyed the others in the series, I would still recommend it; Cronin is a very clever author!

We loved this book! The whole series is great, I highly recommend.
My son picked out this series to read as he loves books about chickens. he LOVES them and is anxiously awaiting for more to be written.

We liked the first one a little better, but this was still a good book and glad we got it.

A great series that is funny and easy to read. My son loved it.
The chicks second case involves two clients. As Sugar sees the clues differently, the chicks come though and solve the mystery. This is a fun series that causes me to laugh out loud. I love it and hope more are to come.
